We operate a phone first appointment system for patients wishing to see a GP or Clinician on the day. The reception staff will take the patient’s details and a brief description of their medical problem and will sign post the call to the appropriate clinician.
At this point the clinician will contact the patient by telephone. If the patient needs seen by the GP an appointment will be given at this stage. All urgent problems will be seen on the day.
Appointments at our Chronic disease clinics (with our practice Nurses) or with any of our MDT Team can be booked in advance, as can blood appointments.
If you cannot keep an appointment - Please cancel it!
In the case of an emergency, outside normal surgery hours, patients can ring the Emergency Out of Hours Service on: 028 38399201
Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.
Please tell us:
It would be helpful where possible if requests for home visits were made before 11am, by telephoning the surgery.
Medical examinations for special purposes such as pre-employment, fitness to travel, elderly drivers, fitness to undertake sports etc., will require longer than a routine appointment.
These examinations do not form part of NHS Services, you will be charged for any such examination. Please check the fee chargeable page here before arranging any such examination. Please inform the receptionist when arranging such appointments.
Contact our reception to find out about prices for private examinations.
Clanrye Medical Practice is a GP training practice. We will endeavour to inform our patients when they are attending an appointment with a GP specialty Trainee or a medical student.
